French Bloodstock agent Gérard LARRIEU was born in 1956 in Pau, South West of France, at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains, a French region well known for its racing, breeding and....gastronomy.
After serving in the Pau training center as an assistant trainer to the leading jump trainer Jean Couetil, Gérard Larrieu moved north to Chantilly in the mid seventies to fill the same position with French leading trainer François Boutin. In 1981 and 1982 he worked in New-York for leading trainer Mackenzie Miller before returning to France where he decided to launch his bloodstock agent career.
In 1985 Gérard Larrieu created the now famous Chantilly Bloodtock Agency, in Chantilly in the heart of one of the World's most famous training center, and an ideal base to be regularly in touch with leading French trainers.
Gérard Larrieu is a member of the Owners and Breeders Association, a member of the AFC (French Federation of Bloodstock Agents) and the French Arabian Association.
Very active on the International market, Gérard Larrieu has purchased and managed the career of many top class performers, all at Grade I level,on behalf of his main clients, including:
